Champagne and Cupcakes Anniversary Celebration

Well, it has been just over a month since our 10th anniversary Champagne and Cupcakes Celebration benefiting Cancer Navigators of Rome.  I planned on writing a blog post to chronicle this event, but with setting up Perfect Home for the holidays and the usual fall rush of design projects, it just didn’t happen.  Actually, this is the ideal time to share since our actual anniversary was on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

When I came up with the idea of a special party to celebrate our ten year milestone, I never dreamed it would be such a success!  So many of our loyal customers and clients attended, along with many new faces.  It was truly a celebration, exactly what I wanted it to be!

and Cupcakes!!!

The store was dressed to the nines.  So many new goodies arrived just days before so April Smith, my right hand “girl”, and I were putting on the finishing touches up to the last minute.  We cleaned up pretty well, considering.

This celebration was held to benefit Cancer Navigators of Rome, a wonderful local organization that does exactly what the name says, helping folks navigate their ways through the resources available to them during a challenging time.  I was thrilled that we raised over $500 to help such a worthwhile group.

I hope you will take a minute to scroll through a few of the photos from that night.  I’m sure you will recognize some familiar faces.

All three of these ladies were winners that night!  Delores Nance {left} won a $400 Surya rug.  Brenda Bowen, {center} won a basket of candles and diffusers from Woodwick Candles, and Evelyn Montgomery {far right} won a $100 gift certificate.  I wonder if they had any idea they were going to win  when this photo was taken!

My sweet  Jill Burnes Goode who worked with me for many years until she left for marriage, motherhood and law school.  I was so happy she, her husband Derrell and adorable baby, Charlotte Ellen came from Montgomery for this special night.

My team!!!  It never would have happened without these ladies.  From the left, Tonya Davis of BDD Consulting who pulled this all together; April Smith who keeps me organized and orderly {most of the time}; my “niece” Alison Smith of Perfect Dress who carries on the bridal tradition I started in 1978 and the ever efficient Monique Watson of BDD Consulting and Honeymoon Bakery…yum!  I am so blessed to have them in my life.   These girls make every day a celebration!

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported Champagne and Cupcakes. And a special thanks to all my loyal customers and design clients, who I now consider friends. I feel so blessed to have been in business for 35 years, first with The Wedding Belle and the past ten at Perfect Home. As we all know, the past few years have been challenging for most businesses and I are so grateful to our community for continuing to shop with us, as well as other local businesses. Remember… shop small and SHOP ROME!

Thank you all for supporting Perfect Home these past ten years… and here’s to many more!
