Vignette Eye Candy

I am endlessly fascinated by the way objects can be arranged.  The composition, the objects themselves, the balance… so many variations.  I love a layered tablescape.  Just look at the arrangement above.  Framed pictures behind vases of flowers flanked with small lamps all accented by elegant bibelots.  Looooove this  look.

Let’s take a little tour of a few striking and creative tablescape vignettes, shall we.

Love the color and composition of this arrangement.

The balance, the symmetry , the classic marble bust…perfection.

Sea fans , coral and hydrangeas, what’s not to love.

Never underestimate the power of a single branch in a simple vase.  Of course, an oversized shell filled with succulents doesn’t hurt.

 

Dramatic..no?  Love the natural dried arrangements.

Not too sure about the use of FOUR lamps, but I always love a large table stacked with books.

A simple arrangement but with three refined oil paintings , two classic lamps , one fabulous mirror,  flanked by a pair of slipcovered black chairs, what more could you ask for.

 

One of my sales reps just gave me a calligraphy brush like the one above and I can’t wait to create a beautiful vignette to showcase it.

Now I just have to find the perfect little crab to place on a book!!

I hope you enjoyed this tour of creative tablescapes.   Even the simplest of objects can become so much more when displayed with imagination.  Look around your own home.  Open those closets and cabinets and pull out items you tucked away and forgot.  Place them all together and start playing .  Be inspired… go forth and create!  You might be pleasantly surprised with the results.
